It’s my 3rd day post op and I’ve been reading a lot. It’s hard to blog one-handed. Harder still to cook. So I read.
I am not very good at “down time”, so reading feels lazy to me. Being “down” requires me to sit still while it’s 70 degrees and sunny outside and my chore list is growing by the minute. Not to mention the million other things I could catch up on during my “down time”.
I finished Jodi Picoult’s gazillion page book, Keeping Faith. I’m not sure I understand the ending, though. Now I have to pick from this stack of books
~you see, I am in progress with all of them. I read about 5 books at a time and pick away slowly until they’re finished.. The only one finished in this stack and is in round 2, is Digital Mom’s Handbook. I am just about done with Quitter ( I highly recommend this one, ya’ll) and the one about good sentence structure seems boring.
I will mention this one tidbit about books by your bed. If you love to read, get a bookshelf. Stacking books is not organizing them. It’s just a glorified pile. Believe me when I say this~I did it for years.
I think my only option is to finish Necessary Endings. How appropriate. Whatcha reading at your house?
